Horseradish Sauce - Mayonnaise Base

This is a wonderful dipping sauce for beef tenderloin (filet mignon) or prime rib. This recipe has a mayonnaise and cream base. We have another version posted on out site with a sour cream base. Both are fantastic!

Ingredient List

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup prepared horseradish

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • Coarse salt and ground pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

  • Chives, diced for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, horseradish, mustard, and hot sauce (if using). Mix until well blended.

Step 2: Using a kitchen mixer or handheld mixer, in a chilled metal bowl, beat the cream to soft peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the mayonnaise mixture. Carefully stir in salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate up to an hour before serving.
